Business analysis governance planning

Governance is defined as the processes that ensure accountability and that is important in the field of business analysis.

The plan business analysis task is used to state how decisions are made about requirements and designs.

A governance process has to be put in place to identify the decision makers, decision process and information required to make decisions.

To identify the governance process, the business analyst needs to know the following:

a. The business analysis approach.

b. The change management process.

c. The stakeholders in the change management process.

The business analysis approach and stakeholder engagement approach are inputs into the plan business analysis governance task.

But how do you plan the governance process as a business analyst ?

Well there are variables that can be used which would help with this task.

These variables are: decision making by the stakeholders, creating a change management process, plan the prioritization approach and plan for approvals.
